Orlando music attorney, Nick Nanton, the Indie Lawyer, elected to the The Florida Bar Entertainment Arts and Sports Law Committee’s Executive Council and tapped by the Orange County Bar to serve as the Chairman of the Entertainment Law Committee.
Orlando, Fla. – June 11, 2007– Nick Nanton, the Indie Lawyer, was elected to the Executive Council of the Florida Bar Entertainment Arts and Sports Law Committee. The committee seeks to improve the practice of entertainment and sports law through the shared technical and legal knowledge of its members. Nanton will serve a two-year term as executive councilmember and will use his experience in the music industry to guide and direct committee actions.

One month prior, Nanton was tapped as the Chairman of the Orange County Bar’s Entertainment Committee which also seeks to improve the practice of entertainment, arts and sports law in the Central Florida area. The committee will offer continuing education classes and seminars on cutting edge issues in entertainment law, as well as provide articles for The Briefs, the Orange County Bar’s monthly publication.
“The Florida Bar and the Orange County Bar are pillars of the legal community and I’m very glad to be assisting them with programs that help prepare Florida lawyers to better deal with the entertainment issues we face today,” Nanton said.
